Biography

Dr. Rana Daniel grew up in Massachusetts and got her Bachelor’s in Biology from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Virginia. She went to the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2008.

Rana’s interest in women’s health led her to complete her Ob/Gyn residency at Wilmington NC in 2012, and is board certified. She has an interest in helping women in all areas and stages of their lives, from adolescence to post-menopause.

When the opportunity arose, Rana jumped at the chance to form and join Mindful Roots because she sees the need to the community, and great things possible with this practice.

Dr. Daniel continues to work as an Obstetrician in Lewiston. She spends her free time with her husband, 3 children, and sweet Golden Retriever.

Who is Rana Daniel?

I am a board-certified OB/Gyn, mom of 3 young children, and entrepreneur. Aside from Mindful Roots, I still practice and a physician locally and have a great weight loss coaching business that focuses on working mothers. I have lost over 100lbs and love to share my knowledge.

I feel strongly that we need to do what we can to feel empowered, strong, and confident. We need to stop the self-judgment and self-sabotage.

People often tell me that I am easy to talk to, make them feel comfortable, and make them feel like they are not judged for their feelings or desires. I am compassionate and loving to all, and treat others the way I want to be treated. I do everything I can out of love and patience.
I work hard in all my jobs and often put myself last. Through my coaching and growth lately, I have learned that I need to put myself first and am working on self-care, self-preservation, and growth. Because of my perfectionist qualities, I have always put my career first, and am learning to take care of myself and my family while still giving the time to my businesses.

I am finding a balance in life and I am happy to share this with you in any aspect.
